Agricultural Development Sites

In the government’s attempt to strengthen and make the agricultural sector more efficient and increase overall productivity, seven (7) blocks of the former Caroni (1975) Ltd. lands are being developed for agricultural purposes.

The lands are to be transferred to the EMBD through a number of head leases after which the EMBD will then issue sub-leases to eligible applicants for agricultural purposes.

It is the intention of the government that with the EMBD as the lead agent in managing and developing these seven (7) blocks of agricultural lands, that this sector will eventually be able to boast of  “best standards”  in terms of efficiency and productivity.
