On the 15th March, 2015, the Estate Management & Business Development Company Ltd. (EMBD) was deeply honoured to have Dr. the Honourable Roodal Moonilal, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, present to cut the ceremonial ribbon and to open the Sanahie Trace in Debe.

The EMBD had recently completed the rehabilitation and infrastructural development of the Sanahie Trace, a road which had been sorely dilapidated due to decades of residential and agricultural commuter traffic.

This was the second project to be completed in 2015 under the EMBD’s Road Rehabilitation Programme. The EMBD has completed over 20 projects within 2014 and is dedicated to maintaining this pace of completion and delivery for all of our projects.

During the feature address, delivered by the Honourable Minister and Member of Parliament for Oropouche East, Dr. Roodal Moonilal expressed his continued satisfaction with the quality work of the EMBD.

Dr. Moonilal also requested that the EMBD maintain its current course and view, as an active partner in community-based developmental projects.

We were reminded that as a State Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, and as a socially conscious corporate citizen, we must always remain sensitive to the needs of all stakeholders, including the communities within which we carry out our numerous projects and programmes. The EMBD agrees and is committed to this stance.

The EMBD was also the humble recipient of profuse gratitude from residents within the community, as well as by residents from neighbouring communities who came to witness this significant event.

These residents are the major beneficiaries of this project, as the EMBD successfully enhanced the commuting network within the area.

We were honoured to have several representative members from various State Agencies and Councillors from the Penal-Debe Regional Corporation visibly present within the audience, to offer their congratulations and to show their support for the EMBD, a state enterprise dedicated to consistently delivering quality results.
